Setting the Administrator password

As part of the installation, Crystal Enterprise creates an Administrator account and a Guest account that do not have passwords. Log on to the Crystal Management Console (CMC) with the Administrator account and use the following procedure to create a secure password for the Administrator account.

Note:    Do not create a password for the Guest account if you plan to use the anonymous Single Sign On or the Sign Up features available in ePortfolio. To disable these features, see Disabling the Sign Up feature and Disabling the Guest account.

To change the Administrator password
  1. Go to the Users management area of the CMC.
  2. Click the link for the Administrator account.
  3. In the Enterprise Password Settings area, enter and confirm the new password.
  4. If it is selected, clear the "User must change password at next logon" check box.
  5. Click Update.
