Firewalls are commonly used to secure the area of communication between the web server and the rest of the corporate intranet (including Crystal Enterprise). Crystal Enterprise supports firewalls that use IP filtering, static network address translation (NAT), or SOCKS proxy servers, and it supports a multitude of configurations. Supported environments can involve multiple firewalls, web servers, or Web Component Servers.
