Security management components

System security within Crystal Enterprise is distributed across most components, but it is managed primarily by the WCS, the APS, and the security plug-ins. These components work together to authenticate and to authorize users who access Crystal Enterprise, its folders, and its other objects.

This section discusses the key components as they relate to system security. Because they are responsible for additional tasks, several of the components discussed in this section are described in additional detail in Crystal Enterprise Architecture.
