If you have upgraded from an earlier version of Crystal Enterprise, use the Crystal Import Wizard to import existing user accounts, groups, folders, report objects, and report instances to Crystal Enterprise 8.5.
You can also use the Crystal Import Wizard to import information from an existing version 8.5 installation to a new version 8.5 installation. When doing so, you have the additional option of importing events and server groups.
The following sections describe what happens to the objects that are imported from a Crystal Enterprise 8.x system. Generally, if the object will not overwrite an object that is already in the Crystal Enterprise system, then the Crystal Import Wizard imports the object.
