The /crystal virtual directory

The /crystal virtual directory must be mapped to the Crystal Enterprise web content directory on the web server machine. So, when a user requests a Crystal Enterprise web page, the HTML file and any associated images can be served up from the actual directory on the web server machine.

On a Windows web server, the default web content directory path is C:\Program Files\Crystal Decisions\Web Content; on a UNIX web server, it is INSTALL_ROOT/crystal/webcontent.

To check the /crystal virtual directory configuration

• Type the entire Crystal Enterprise Launchpad URL in your browser:

  http://webserver/crystal/enterprise/launchpad/language/default.htm

  Replace webserver with the name of your web server machine, and replace language with the information appropriate to your version of Crystal Enterprise: use en for English, fr for French, de for German, and ja for Japanese.
