One of the more common errors encountered over the Web results in the following error message being displayed in the browser:
Communication Error Communication failed with all configured Web Component Servers because they are disabled or not currently running. If this problem continues, please contact the system administrator.
This error indicates that the WCS is offline or that the Web Connector is not configured correctly. First, use the CCM to start the WCS and then enable it. (If the WCS was already started and enabled, use the CCM to restart it.) If restarting the WCS does not correct the situation, check the mappings between the web server, the Web Connector, and the WCS. For details, see Path mapping overview.
