System requirements

For a detailed list of tested environments, please consult the Platforms.txt file included with your product distribution. This file includes specific version and patch-level requirements for web servers, web browsers, and operating systems. For additional important information that may pertain to your deployment, it is also strongly recommended that you consult the Release Notes included with your product distribution (release.pdf, release.htm, or release.rtf).

Generally, however, the following components must be installed and configured correctly before you install Crystal Enterprise:

• Web server software
• Database software that is compatible with the Crystal APS
• 256 MB RAM
• 700 MB free disk space

Note:    Crystal Enterprise requires a database to store information about the system and its users. For details, see Setting up an empty database for the APS.
