SetProfileString Method

Use this method to assign a profile string to the user.

Syntax

Sub SetProfileString(
    Name As String
    Value As String)

Parameters

Name

The name of the profile string.

Value

The value you want to assign to the profile string.

Remarks

The SetProfileString method is used to make it possible for developers to set name-value string pairs for any information they want to store about a user that Crystal Enterprise does not provide. For example, developers can store a user's e-mail address inside the user object.

Use this method to set the profile string, instead of using the ProfileString Property, if you are running on Unix platform or using JavaScript. Use the ProfileString property to read the value.
