CheckAction Method

This method returns True if the InfoObject grants the appropriate rights needed to make the specified ActionID valid for the object, and False if it does not.

Parameters

ActionID

ID of the action to be checked. See CeReservedActionIDs for a list of actions and their IDs.

Remarks

Use this method to determine whether the current user has the right to perform a specific user interface action through the client desktop. A number of actions are supported by each object, and these actions are connected to a specific set of rights. For example, if the user wants to schedule a report, he or she may choose "Schedule" from a drop-down list. When the user performs this action, this method uses the schedule action ID (ceActionSchedule) to see whether or not the user has been granted schedule rights to this object.
