Viewing a report using specific parameter values

Once you have determined which values you want to use when viewing the report, you need to load a Crystal Report Viewer. For detailed information on the report viewer see Crystal Web Request (CWR). To instruct the viewer to use specific parameter values, use the PROMPTEX parameter or the PROMPT# parameter. These are inserted into the URL string that directs the browser to open the report viewer.

Take, for example, a report that has two parameters—A and B—which are both boolean. To open the report where A equals TRUE and B equals FALSE the following URL string would be used.

Example

http://Server/Share/viewrpt.cwr?id=124&APSToken=Flamingo:1BFC1&prompt0-A=TRUE&prompt1-B=FALSE
