Understanding ePortfolio

Crystal Enterprise comes with a sample web desktop called ePortfolio. ePortfolio helps users organize their reports into logical groups—using folders—and allows them to search for, view, and print reports. ePortfolio also offers users a number of report scheduling options.

This section explains how multiple CSP pages and JavaScript files work together to create the ePortfolio desktop. These files can be found in the Crystal Enterprise directory:\Program Files\Crystal Decisions\WebContent\Enterprise\ePortfolio\<language>.

Replace language with the information appropriate to your version of Crystal Enterprise: use en for English or ja for Japanese.

File input and output

Included in this section are lists of key parameters. These key parameters are passed to and from the main CSP pages and JavaScript files through a URL string, and they are retrieved using the Request object's QueryString Property.

Note that some parameters are also posted through forms and retrieved with the Request object's Form Property. While these parameters have not been included in the lists of key parameters, information about them has been included in the description of the appropriate CSP page.
