ActiveX

The Report Viewer for ActiveX is an ActiveX control that can be placed inside an HTML page and viewed through any browser that supports ActiveX. Supported versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer displays report with the Report Viewer for ActiveX by default. A list of supported browsers can be found in Platforms.txt, which is located on the Crystal Enterprise CD: <drive>:\docs.

Tip:    You can specify the Report Viewer for ActiveX and override the default browser by including init=actx in the Crystal Web Request. See INIT parameter.

The Report Viewer for ActiveX can also be used inside any development environment that supports ActiveX controls.

Note:    The Report Viewer for ActiveX supports all types of objects (field, text, graphic, OLE, Cross-Tab, Subreport, map, line, box).
