INIT parameter

Specifies the Report Viewer.

init=<viewer>

Possible values for <viewer> are below:

nav_plugin	Netscape Plug-in
java	Java using browser JVM
java_plugin	Java using Java Plug-in
html_frame	DHTML with Frames

If the INIT parameter is not specified, the Web Component Server defaults to the DHTML frame viewer.

Remarks

The above URL could be passed from a Java capable version of Internet Explorer. It forces the report to be displayed in the Report Viewer for Java instead of the default viewer (Report Viewer for ActiveX).

Note that if you open a report with a report viewer, and then use the INIT parameter to specify another report viewer, you will still be connected to the report that you started viewing with the first report viewer. If, however, you want to reset the report's parameter values and logon information, and rerun the report if necessary, then you must re-establish a connection to the Page Server by appending the CONNECT parameter to the initialization string.
