Java using browser JVM

The Report Viewer for Java is a standard Java applet that can be placed on an HTML page and viewed through any Java capable browser. It is designed to implement the Java 1.1x Java Virtual Machine that ships with current Java capable browsers. Supported versions of Netscape Navigator and Java 1.1x capable browsers display reports using the Report Viewer for Java by default. A list of supported browsers can be found in Platforms.txt, which is located on the Crystal Enterprise CD: <drive>:\docs.

Tip:    You can specify the Report Viewer for Java and override the default browser by including init=java in the Crystal Web Request. See INIT parameter.

The Sun Java Virtual Machine has enhanced printing capabilities in that it provides functionality for applets to preserve page orientation and enables printing page ranges.

Note:    The Report Viewer for Java only supports single drawn lines and not dashed or dotted lines as drawn in Crystal Reports.
