Java using Java Plug-in

The Report Viewer for Java using Java Plug-in is the same applet as the Java using browser JVM. However, the Report Viewer for Java is also capable of implementing the Sun Java Virtual Machine plug-in component (version 1.2X and higher) available for browsers. In other words, the Report Viewer for Java using Java Plug-in has the same capabilities as the Report Viewer for Java, but it is loaded using the Sun Java Plug-in Virtual Machine rather than the browser's native Java Virtual Machine. A list of supported browsers can be found in Platforms.txt, which is located on the Crystal Enterprise CD: <drive>:\docs.

Tip:    You can specify the Report Viewer for Java Plug-in and override the default browser by including init=java_plugin in the Crystal Web Request. See INIT parameter.

Note:    The Report Viewer for Java using Plug-in only supports single drawn lines and not dashed or dotted lines as drawn in Crystal Reports.
