The GroupAssociates collection is used to add or delete three different types of group associates: group members (users), parent groups, and subgroups. When managing group memberships using the SDK, you can choose one of two methods:

• Use the group to modify which users belong to it.
• Use the user to modify which group he or she belongs to.

The user's group list and the group's user list are, therefore, synchronized. This collection allows you to add users to an existing group or remove them from the user list. The User Plugin's Groups Collection allows you to add groups to or remove them from a user's group list.
