UserAlias Object

Crystal Enterprise User PlugIn Library

An Alias object is created automatically when a user is created, or when a member of a third-party group is mapped to the system. An alias, which is an alternative name that is assigned to a user, allows the user to log on to the Enterprise system using different names and authentication types. A user can have multiple aliases, each of which can be re-assigned to another user with the UserAliases Collection.

Note:    You must have modify rights to use this object. You can apply the rights either by setting the role or by adding the security rights.

For a more comprehensive overview of the object security model used by Crystal Enterprise, see the Crystal Enterprise Administrator's Guide. See the "Appendix A: Object Rights and Access Levels" in the Crystal Enterprise Administrator's Guide for a list of the granular rights granted for each role.
