Viewing a Crystal Report entails loading a viewer, opening the report, prompting for any user names, passwords or report parameters, and then displaying the report. Fortunately, this is all done for you.
To view a report, you must first load a Crystal Report Viewer by sending a Crystal Web Request (CWR) to the Web Component Server. A Crystal Web Request includes the following in its URL query string: viewrpt.cwr.
ViewRpt.cwr uses the DHTML viewer by default, unless you use an initialization string to specify a different viewer. The viewer displays the report and the user is prompted for any required information (for example, database logon details).
Note: Included with Crystal Enterprise are six different report viewers. You can specify one of these instead of using the default viewer. For more information, see Report Viewer Reference.
