LogonUser function

The LogonUser function logs on and authenticates the user. It requires four parameters as input: username, password, apsname, authentication.

The values for these parameters can come from three different sources.

• They are automatically assigned when a user first accesses ePortfolio. In this case, default parameters are passed into the function and used to log the user on to the Guest view.
• They can be retrieved from logonform.csp. Existing users must enter their user name, password, and authentication type into the logon form in order to gain access to the Subscription view.
• They can be retrieved from signup.csp. Users who do not have an account must sign up for one by entering their full name, user name, and password into the sign-up form.

  Note:    The option to sign up as a new user is not available in Crystal Enterprise Standard.
